The Scapegoat Taproom started as an idea that was imagined 30 years ago. Born and raised in the Leland area, we have watched the community grow and transform from just a small town outside of Wilmington, to a thriving area where people want to plant their roots.The Scapegoat has been built on our family of four’s ability to imagine. It actually began as a sports bar concept with the title “Scapegoat” paying homage to famous scapegoats in sports history. However, as our family evolved the idea of a sports bar transformed into a vision of a community space revering all scapegoats both past and present.
From the beginning, the core of this idea has stayed the same with our focus being on cultivating a space for family and connection. Our goal is to share with all of you this space offering not only your favorite libations, but fellowship, music, conversation, and so much more!We are beyond excited to welcomeeveryone into The Scapegoat Taproom.
